Pharmacy services in hospitals is an inseparable part of hospital services as a whole.

Guidelines for public hospital organization states that public hospitals must perform several functions, one of which is pharmacy services. Installation at the hospital pharmacy is the only unit in the hospital pharmacy providing goods. In general, the flow of goods in the hospital (including pharmaceutical goods of course) covers the process of receiving, storage, distribution and recording.
